Just what you want in a computer repair place: trustworthy and competent. Went with my very old, very dead PC computer. The gentleman looked at it and asked, "Do you want a repair or salvage?" I said, "Salvage." He said, "Very wise." He took it away and came back 15 minutes later and told me that the hard drive was good. He could take it out and put it in a shell which would cost $40. Twenty minutes later he was back with the unit. Total cost: just $45 with the tax! Asked for and he gave me advice on the next computer I should buy and where I should buy it.

I would send my Granny who didn't know the difference between a dongle and a mouse here.

Update: August 2022. I had a NAS setup with two hard drives. One of them failed and Tim and his team were able to recover the drive. I am very grateful for all of the hard work this place has done for me at very reasonable prices.

I have gone to them twice now for spill related issues and they've been able to revive my laptop. Super friendly and great service! They respond really quickly and they've given great advice and input. Highly recommend and they are probably the best laptop service in Waterloo. I've gone to a couple popular computer repair stores around and none of them said they could help me and directed me towards Notebook Galaxy.

Great people, amazing service. Went to Canada computers to fix my DC port and they said it’ll take two weeks to repair. Went to notebooks galaxy, had delicious cake, lots of candy while waiting as the owner looked over the issue and estimated that it’ll take 5 days , cause they needed to send it to Toronto. Got an email less than 48 hours later saying that the laptop was ready to be picked up. Actual life savers, had delicious cookies when I went to pick it up.

While my laptop ended up being beyond repair, Tim very clearly communicated what was going on with my laptop, provided advice, and made sure I was informed of the possible outcomes. Their fees are very fair & Tim did a good job of explaining the cost implications of the options I had.

Good service but did not fix my laptop. Sent it in the first time and I told them that if it costs less than $150 they dont have to call me. It cost exactly $150 and all they did was change my charger. About a month later the same thing happened to the laptop. I send it in and they took about 3 weeks to get me a new charger (this time they didn't charge me). After 1 month the laptop broke again with the same issue. Nice people but bad service.

Fast service. Friendly staff. Sadly, they don't sell any laptops, as the ancient laptop I took in to be repaired wasn't worth fixing.

Better off saving the repair cost, and putting the money towards a newer one I figured, and they agreed - which is refreshingly honest. If they sold refurbished, older laptops I would have bought one immediately.
