I paid $14 expecting a 20 oz latte coffee, but they gave me a 16 oz because they ran out of cups and still charged full price. That’s insane and unfair. I feel ripped off.

Buyer Beware!!! First, I went to the gift store, which was pretty expensive, but bought a shirt. The woman at the counter said her son has an expensive $20,000 coffee machine, and to be sure to get a cup of coffee because he makes such good coffee. I was excited and ordered two cups of coffee for my husband and I. There were no syrups, so I ordered two mochas. There were no prices anywhere, so I should have been suspicious. We were given two very small cups of coffee with a total bill of $25.00!!!!!!! Literally highway robbery!!!! Never in all my travels have I paid so much for a small cup of not even good coffee!!!!

Second, we topped off our gas tank before heading down Hwy 37. We were charged $186 for a preauthorization fee. This has been pending for six days. I do not trust them at all, but the credit card was reassuring that they probably can't get the money. Again, this has never happened before and I have lost some sleep over it!

Apparently they charge for using their WiFi and are very nasty about it. I think it is because if you look to see what their ratings are, you would not stop at all!! Please save yourself the frustration and anxiety and don't go here. They are very dishonest!

Three of us on motorcycles stayed here last August and tent camped. We found the staff checking us in to be friendly, the restaurant maybe a little less, but service and food was good. Showers were clean and the cost for all three to tent for the night was around $45 CD which was fair. Not sure why there is so many negative comments about the place. Wasn't our experience at all. You're in the Yukon people-lighten up.

Friendly, most expensive cheeseburger I've ever had, but the best cheeseburger in Canada. Didn't buy gas, just stopped to eat and led the kids play. They climbed on a leftover snowbank for 30 minutes and we hit the road. Seems like they are just starting to bounce back after all the COVID restrictions. No cell service. Get the cheeseburger 😉

Camped here because we had no other option late in the day. Tenting spots were covered in trash and unorganized, staff was unfriendly and unhelpful.

Looking back, we would have continued driving to the next place and had a more pleasant time along the road.

Bathrooms were relatively clean though, so that's a good point.

I'm going to explain my review first. We are passing through Canada on a Military move. I'm super picky about hotels. We usually stay at Drury Inn or LaQuinta when in the States. We are chemical free and I'm hyper aware of chemical smells. All this being said... I had a culture shock the first night we spent in Canada. Almost every hotel is not to my standards. I hardly slept the night we spend in Alberta. We have this place a shot even thought it really had no good reviews for the cabin. It is older. The sheets could be replaced. The towels smell like stale air, which is better than some places near here. The tub has jets, so of course my 4 years old was excited. They hadn't been used in a long time so black crud came out when we turned them on. I sprayed something in it , cleaned it myself, and put my child back in. The cabin is moderately clean. Much cleaner than anything in the nearby town of Watson Lake. They are pet friendly for a small fee. I can't remember the cost for the first dog but the second was 8 dollars. Again, cheaper than other places. The campground is cute. They have all the regular amenities plus wifi. The wifi works great. They just have different routers in different parts of the park. The whole time we have been here (5 hours so far) my iPhone and laptop have stayed connected with no problems. It's not he fastest, but I'm not complaining!!! There is a restaurant here as well. The food is AMAZING. The menu is larger than I expected! We could probably eat this pie every day. We would absolutely stay here again. It's not the Ritz, but this is Yukon after all. It's simple and clean. There's not much more you can ask for here.

Stayed at the rv Park. First off the lady was rude when I walked in by completely ignoring me while she chatted it up with different people in the gift shop. She didn't acknowledge my presence even though I was staring at her until after every one left. She didn't offer any information after I paid I had to ask her, what about showers? What about wifi? She charged me $55 (after taxes) for an unlevel site without full hookups (only 30 amp and water). I didn't realize there were no hookups site didn't tell me I just assumed it was for that price. I couldn't believe how unlevel the site was, I had to use two boards on one side to level it. No trash recepticals either that I could see so expect to pack out your trash too. You have to pay for showers and there isn't any wifi either. What a joke. Go camp anywhere but here.

I'd been driving through hours of fog when I saw Nugget City appear like a mirage on my right. Planning on just gassing up, grabbing a coffee, and making my way to Watson Lake to take a breather, I ended up staying at Nugget City for over an hour, chatting with the owner and her family. She took the time to draw me up a map to my ultimate destination, as well as giving me invaluable advice. But what made this stop truly memorable was how homey it felt. Warm fireplace, pleasant company, good food. Truly, an unexpected highlight of my trip.

P.S. Adam and Kelsey, thanks for a great chat. Hope we meet again!
