We were visiting from out of the country and I was really craving pancakes. All I wanted was a big fluffy pancake and fresh fruits. This was the best lemon ricotta pancake and duck fat hash and large bowl of fresh cut fruits I’ve ever had in my life! I was so happy. I appreciated the generous portion and the duck fat hash had red peppers and herbs seasoning, it was flavorful. We also appreciated the house made ketchup and hot sauce, they were delicious. Everything was excellent. Including service, our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The chef did amazing. We loved that the kitchen reminded us of like a kitchen at home, very comforting and welcoming vibes dining here! If we ever return to Canmore on our way to visit Banff National Park, this place will hands down be our first stop to eat. We also preferred staying in Canmore anyway, it’s only about a 20 mins drive to Banff and in our opinion had better food and cafe shop options and less crowd. We were in the area for about a week and did a lot of exploring. I wish I could take this place in my pocket and bring it back to home with me! Highly recommend here!

Always trying to support the newest local business, so we opted to eat brunch here since they just moved from Deadman’s to Canmore. The service was prompt, friendly and super helpful with dietary restrictions and answering questions. The food was delicious. Will be back again for sure. Would recommend as a cozy spot for a high quality breakfast/brunch right downtown.
We had the avocado toast and the honey toast. Both were fabulous and pictured.

Had an amazing breakfast at One98eight on the morning of Christmas Eve. Had the duck confit hash and was blown away by the flavour, quality, and effort put into it. Two days to make the duck! The freshness and quality of the ingredients truly brought out an amazing flavour that has been lacking in so many other breakfast places I've tried.
As an added bonus, Andy (the owner and chef) and the waitress (I didn't catch her name unfortunately) were super kind and approachable.
10/10 experience, we have found our new Bow Valley favourite!

Couldn't be more thrilled! We're tourist relatives of two locals who said this place was getting "rave reviews" and we weren't disappointed. Ally was an incredible hostess and Andy is a truly gifted chef. The chai was made from scratch and the food was honestly so filling and so flavourful. Absolutely can't wait to come back.

Do not recommend.

Our server was cheerful, courteous, and helpful, though that was our primary enjoyment of the restaurant.

The decor doesn't match the photos and feels haphazardly assembled, without thought of appearance or comfort.

The food was quite embarrassing, I've posted a photo of the 6oz pancake, with barely a dollop of whipped cream and a paltry amount of strawberries. I had to request more whipped cream and even syrup, which wasn't initially included with the meal. We also ordered a bowl of fruit, though some of the fruit was obviously not ripe.

An unfortunate bait and switch of a restaurant.

Had breakfast not brunch here—Veggie waffle is super yummy even for a non-vegetarian person! Heavy Indian flavor profile, duck fat hash with their “ketchup” sauce is a solid choice! Feels ready to hike afterwards!

Friendly and homey vibes:) Chai is spice forward and taste great even without adding any sugar!

This was the brunch we had driven all the way from Calgary for! Absolutely delicious. We were a party of four and all chose something different and all felt we had chosen the best thing on the menu! Really tasty and fresh and served with a smile and a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude.

And I had mentioned it was my birthday yesterday and the chef/owner brought out honey toast and strawberries to celebrate compliments of the house.

You’d be fools to miss out! Enjoy!
