Any time I am in a new place, I immediately hunt down the local used book store. It is an obsession, an addiction—I crave the intoxicating scent of old books. I love to meander through aisles of books stacked high and find unique treasures. Baker’s does not disappoint! This is one of the coolest bookstores I have ever visited and I audibly GASPED when I realized almost every book in the store was $2. This is a magical place for book lovers and you’ll get lost in the joy of the hunt. Please do not sleep on Baker’s and make sure you reserve at least an hour on your visit to Hope (or on your stop over on your road trip) to appreciate and support this truly special local business.

came into the store passing through town. the store has a large non-fiction selection and is organized well. i found some classic fiction pocket books for 2$ - can't beat that. there's also an impressive selection of beautiful rare books.

Found a whole bunch of Sweet Valley High books here. I went in with hope and left a happy girl. The condition of these vintage books are as good as new. Priced at $2/book, IT’S INSANE!!!

I could have spent hours here. The store was very laid back, welcoming and theres a small play chest in the back to entertain small kids while parents browse. We picked up a few books and a sticker and loved our visit

Best book store ever. Lots of selection, great prices, chairs where you can sit and read.

The real magic is the staff. I came on a day where I was too sick to go on a hike with my family, and not only were there spots to sit and read - the lady running the shop made me tea with honey.

Awesome place for book lovers!

Make sure you have lots of time to browse. Everything was $2, apart from some collections and rare finds (individually priced).

We found a lot of really nice classics in good condition and brought them home.
