I can’t say enough good things about Pedal Easy. They really came through in my moment of need and set up a deal for me to rent one of their demo models as long as I needed. I HIGHLY recommend you check out their shop and go for a test ride. Not only do they offer customer service that many bigger shops lack, they offer a very niche experience that really feels like riding a bicycle; they stick true to their lightweight philosophy and what you get is a simple, solid, and quality ride.

I rode the CanCycle for about 750km and this is my review: Pros/what you get: sleek and powerful front wheel motor, great handling, ~30km per charge, comfortable seat and riding position, and the very important ability to still be able to ride it like a regular bike without battery assistance. Cons/what they don’t have: no integrated lights, no front shocks, no display, no way of locking the battery to prevent theft, and the left-hand forward twist throttle takes some getting used to and is hard to hold for long periods of time. Caveat with the cons… Claudio and John are working on a new prototype that will address all of these issues and I can’t wait to try it out!

If you’re still reading by now take it as a sign that you really do need to go visit the shop, you won’t regret it!

I love my new bike. Working with this local Ottawa shop was a very positive experience, with both prompt and efficient in-person and online service. My bike is comfortable, lightweight and perfect for riding with or without battery assistance. As a senior, I can lift my bike easily on to my bike rack and up on to the wall hanger in my condo’s bike room. Check out a Pedal Easy bike….you won’t be disappointed.

Claudio and team were amazing to work with. One never felt rushed and Claudio patiently answered a multitude of questions. Their focus was wanting to get the correct bike for the rider.

It is obvious that Pedal Easy has worked hard designing their bikes, ensuring quality and easy usability. I like the fact that the motor is in the front wheel which provides better control, yet the bike still looks just like a typical bike.

One can really get the sense that they want people to be happy with their purchase and to enjoy their e-bike.

I had heard by word of mouth of Pedal Easy but had never visited the store or website until I saw them advertising their Sale on Facebook. My husband and I took a drive there and were pleasantly received by John. He showed us the bikes and explained how they operated. I bought one of the floor models and we picked it up the next day. Claudio was very helpful and I am pleased with the service we received and the bike. I have yet to ride it, as it is winter, but I look forward to many adventures in the spring.

I am absolutely delighted with the Pedal Easy conversion on my favourite bike. It's great to know I can get to the top of a hill and still have energy to keep riding. Operating the motor is simple and straightforward. I enjoy getting out more often and riding longer distances with the electric assistance. Claudio and Frank were extremely helpful abut answering my questions. And I learned how easy it is to disconnect the motor when fixing a flat tire.
I highly recommend Pedal Easy for this e-bike conversion.

Purchased a couple of Responder bikes back in May. We're out on the West Coast, but their partner Steven at Atomic Cycles got them and put them together for us. Was missing the bike racks, but Frank and Claudio were super quick to respond and had them to me in a couple of days. Frank/Claudio were great through the whole purchasing process and always available and willing to help. As for the bikes, we've had them for a couple of months now and they are great! Super light weight, look great and so easy to handle. The gearing and light weight make cycling so much easier, especially on inclines without using the power assist. When we need to use the power assist, it's really easy and it works like a charm. Took a little getting used to the throttle, but all is good. Lots of people don't realize they're ebikes and when they find out, they are amazed. Great bikes!

We recently purchased 2 Easy Rider bikes from Pedal Easy and love the bikes already. The staff, and Claudio in particular, are knowledgable and caring and willing to answer every and all questions. Most of our communications were by email and they were answered promptly and completely. A demo ride was arranged on a wonderfully cold November day but at least it wasn’t snowing! It took only a few moments to get used to the throttle system on these bikes. Use it a lot, a little or not at all as the bikes are lightweight and easy to pedal. I love the idea of the 8 speed internal hub as it keeps the busy bits out of the dirt and dust. All in all a great retail experience and we look forward to many years with these bikes.
