I have a new Generac installed from Platinum Electrical Contractors. The whole experience was amazing. Mark came to our house and explored the best spot for the generator to be installed, answering all our questions along the way. Because my house is semi-detached, the best spot was in the backyard, behind the deck.

Although that increased the installation price, it was worth it, because now the generator is naturally integrated into the house and I can see that green light from my living room, which indicates the generator is ready to run!

The installation went smoothly, even though it was challenging to run 80 feet of cables and gas lines across my basement ceiling and under the deck. The team was very professional, and they cleaned up after they were done. I got the 2 foot extension table, which will save me some trips outside when it snows.

Only 3 days after the installation, I had a 2 hour power outage! Lucky timing I guess. The Generac came on automatically (via the 200-amp transfer switch) and I had power within 5-10 seconds. I was able to keep going with all my house routines, including using the dryer for my son's clothes.

I will say that the generator is more noisy than I thought, but you get used to it after a while, and afterall, having power is what matters the most.

Platinum came highly recommended from a few neighbours who had standby generators installed previously so I had high expectations. From the initial meet through installation and post installation registration, etc. my expectations were met and exceeded. Whether it was the crew, consultant and office staff my experience through the process was excellent. I highly recommend them!

Platinum just delivered truly exceptional customer service. Proving that you can find companies that still go the extra mile to help their clients. Late on a Friday afternoon with a major ice storm looming, my generator decided to let me know that it needed a new battery. This was especially disturbing as I own a very valuable salt water aquarium that needs constant power.
With the regular customer service rep unavailable, the owner of the company stepped in and within the hour arranged for a site visit and installation of a new battery. Crisis averted. Exceptional service -thank you Platinum!

20 stars if I could do that. We have been through 8 tanks of propane in 4 days and our propane supplier said there wasn't a problem. Chad diagnosed the problem, late on a Friday night and was kind enough to argue our case with the supplier. You can't ask for any better.

I had a Briggs & Stratton Generator for 19 yrs. Called for service and got a run around for 2-1/2 months. I then got in contact with Platinum Electrical who immediately gave me a quote for a 14KW unit and shortly after installed it. The whole staff starting from the sales and office personnel down to the installation team were extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The installers did a very clean job. The Generac is a very nice looking unit with up-to-date technology. I strongly recommend Generac units for those who need a generator.

From first contact to final installation It was a great pleasure doing business with Platinum Electrical Contractors. Every person I had dealings with from the Sales Rep, to the Office Staff, to the Installation Team of two Electricians plus their HVAC Sub-Contractor were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and supportive.
After the initial Site Survey by Sales Rep Hamid during which every aspect of what size Generator and which accessories and options would best suit my needs was discussed he went home to prepare my proposal. At this point I was already certain that I was going to be doing business with this company and was just awaiting a price quote. Expecting a page or two documenting make, model, options and price I was blown away to receive in the wee small hours of the next morning a comprehensive 43 page detailed Proposal featuring numerous photos of my very own property ... my Gas Meter, my Hydro Meter, my Breaker Panel and the exact location where my generator was to sit.
I couldn't sign fast enough and am very happy that I did.

Very Professional and flexible install team. The initial plan was to run the electrical through the attic and install the transfer switch in the garage but, once on site, the crew found a better solution. Also, Generac, through a poorly written form auto response, rejected my promotonal extended warranty. However, the sales person stepped in and resolved the issue.
