The atmosphere in store is perfect; everywhere you look there are eye catching murals, or cool collector's items. If you haven't visited before, you should!

10/10! Great store! I stopped in today for a book in particular and I was shown a dedicated room on the subject where I had no idea where to start but, the gentleman helped me find exactly what I was looking for..I was mind blown from the vast variety of books and organisation of this store.
I was helped in every way possible, the service was excellent and I will definitely be returning!

Love this little shop. Found lots of "hidden gem" pulp Fantasy & sci-fi books. But, there's plenty more to be found even if those genres aren't your particular thing. The owner Jason is a really nice guy. (Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable) Well worth the drive if your into books and/or vintage video games.

Finally stopped in at Renaissance Variety and was truly impressed by the quantity and quality of the merchandise there. So many books, games and movies to choose from, we will definitely be back, there are even toys for kids to play with well you shop! The owner was super friendly and gave my almost two year old a Mario sticker with our purchase and also let him keep a toy car he was having trouble letting go of when we were trying to leave with the promise that he brings it back when he's done with it. Overall amazing experience and so happy we stopped by!

This place is awesome! Books, games, candles that smell AMAZING, and now I've learned that you can get electronics as well. Jason is absolutely wonderful and his customer service goes above and beyond to make sure you find what you're looking for . His wife who makes candles, wax melts, and the mini diffusers with essential oils for "Candles in the Attic" (which are the sold in the store) has created such a large variety of different scents that all smell sensational! Very informative and knowledgeable...and also incredibley friendly. I would absolutely recommend checking them out if you're in the Shawville area!
