With the disappointment that came when the new owners took over it felt right to change what I had wrote.

We used to be regulars. It was delicious food, consistent and convenient as it was right down the road.

We have ordered three times since the new owners have taken over and I swear it is worse each time. So disappoting. This place was a gem in this small town. The new owners really drove this place into the mud.

Flavor, Portions, and Service – Riverside Nails It Every Time!

From the first bite, Riverside in Frankford proves why it’s a local favorite. The chicken fried rice is perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the chicken balls are crispy and delicious, and the portions are huge—definitely worth every penny. The staff is super friendly, always on time with orders, and make every visit a great experience. Big thumbs up to Riverside for consistently delivering amazing food and service—I’ll be back again and again!

We ordered the dinner for six takeout tonight. The food was delicious. There was lots of variety and plenty of meat in the dishes. The size was large leaving leftovers to enjoy today.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was a wonderful experience and we will be back again.

Ordered the cantonese chow mein for takeout. The portion was enough for two people to share or one very hungry person. Very delicious and fresh. Will definately be back.

Just returned from an unexpected family dinner at Riverside Restaurant. I had high expectations considering how many good things people had to say about it. We were definitely not disappointed as the food was delicious and service was great and workers were as friendly as possible. Very well held up for a small town.

The food is very tasty and healthy. The service is fast and friendly. It is perfect for any day that I don’t feel like cooking. I’m pleasantly surprised with the chicken balls. They actually have decent protein instead of fried flour balls like most other places.

EDIT TO ADD - THIS WASNT JUST A BAD EVENING. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. According to people in the area, and on other reviews, this place was once amazing. New owners took over and the standards have gone to the toilet, where their food should go. Such a shame. I hope the owners are learning a valuable lesson. A small town like this can be a huge support system to a small business. Overcharging for terrible food is not the way to stay in favor of your customers. Honestly, drive to Trenton for food. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

I have heard amazing things about this place. The food was highly recommended to me by quite a few people. Maybe I just ordered on a bad night? Service was excellent. That's the best part of my experience there. The food, honestly, was horrible. I spent a good chunk of money because everyone loves Chinese food leftovers. A complete waste. The food was dry, very bland, tasteless, luke warm. I only live two minutes away. I plated it up as soon as I got back. It was cold. The batter on the chicken balls was like chewing through leather. And they were dry and overcooked as well. The lo mein I purchased was so dry, I could have saved a tonne and just took the same noodles out of my fridge, that I bought for $4.99, and ate those. They would have had about the same amount of taste and flavor. The other dishes, everything that comes on the meal for four, had almost no taste or no taste. Between the cost of the meal for four, plus ordering the lo mein, extra chicken balls and extra fried rice, I'm ticked with myself for bothering to try something new. Frustrating. Life is expensive enough for us all. When you want to treat your family out to what should be a lovely meal. Only to waste money on stuff that will end up in the green bin? Yeah, not happy. I will not be a return customer. Hopefully the next time I try local, it'll be the Mill Street Pub, it'll actually be edible.
