The smoked salmon, Black Forest ham and bacon are the best. Great prices and excellent service. We’re so glad we met Sobe when we moved to Chester Basin. We’ve become regular customers and always enjoy our visits…and the chats. What a fantastic place. Do yourself a favour and try his offerings. They are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Stopped by to see Sobey this afternoon. Bought a gorgeous piece of smoked salmon and another bag of beef jerky. Me and mom had some of the smoked salmon for supper tonight and it was absolutely amazing. Sobey makes the best smoked salmon around. You won't find any better anywhere and the beef jerky is awesome too. I went through one bag I bought on Tuesday and now I have more to enjoy. If you are in Chester Basin do yourself a favor and stop in to see Sobey and check out his great meat products. I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

I’m from the GTA and when visiting family in the Basin we’d often pass this place. It looks a bit sketchy, but I’m so thankful I decided to stop and have a look. I now get my fix of scallops, smoked bacon and smoked salmon here. It’s like going back in time to the mom and pop shops that used to be all over rural Canada. It has a rustic charm some people may not appreciate, but I’m so happy I found this little gem.

My place to go to get my smoked ham. Cold or Hot smoked. Best corned beef. I'm constantly surprised that many things I can't find in most stores are there .. Friendly atmosphere.

This place is a valuable lesson in not judging a book by its cover. The small unassuming shop is easily passed, but once you make your way to the counter at back you'll be glad you stayed. Great steaks and seafood, sliced and preserved meat, and wonderful cold smoked salmon are available here for fairly reasonable prices. Every time we visit the area we go to this great spot.
