We stopped here for a tasting and lunch during the May long weekend. The Truss food truck is on site and serves some great food. We had the potato gnocchi, salmon cakes, cheese board and oysters along with two wine flights.

There is a nice outdoor seating area which we didn’t really enjoy as it was raining when we visited. I believe that if you reserve for a large group, you can sit in a cute area with a succulent table. My favorite wine was the sparkling Luna Maris.

I had to visit Sea Star Winery while I visited Pender Island. This winery has been there for 20 years and has a beautifully established vineyard. The main building is great for tastings and seasonal food truck is available. There is spacious inside seating, outside seating and a beautiful flower garden to sample.

We enjoyed a relaxing Friday night at the vineyard. Sampled a flight of wines plus a dessert wine. Stella Maris 2021 was a favourite. We also sampled mussels and gnocchi from the nearby Truss Food Truck - both were nice. Besides the wine, the winery has a selection of jams and chutneys for purchase as a set of trio smaller jars or as a single larger jar.

Lovely balanced wines made in interesting styles. Really relaxing outdoor seating which we enjoyed in the sun. The food truck on site has unique and tasty options. Staff are informative, hands off but attentive.
Would recommend checking it out.

We stopped here for a flight of wine/ our server took her time describing the wines and was very knowledgeable. We didn’t buy from the food truck as the food wasn’t allergy appropriate. A nice charcuterie would have been welcome! Looking forward to going back in fall for more reds. Great ambience to sit around tables and taste the wines. Bring a game and linger awhile!

Ortega and Stella is a must try. The flights are reasonable for three of any kind of their wines. With the truss food truck serving tapas right beside their patio, makes for a wonderful combination to taste and savour their wines.

A cool vineyard tucked away in the forest, a lovely place to visit and experience. The staff were wonderful and the wine was even better, we only ended up buying two bottles but if we had more space in our luggage we would've bought many more I can assure you. Definitely worth checking out if you're a visitor to the island.

My partner and I visited Sea Star in late December and had the most lovely time. We were greeted with warmth and lots of knowledge about each of the different tasting options and Sea Star’s operations. Each wine we tasted was delectable which tempted us to buy more than the one bottle we did. Brooke was incredibly personable and generous which made our visit that much more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend you visit Sea Star if you’re on Pender Island and we hope to return soon!
