First experience was very positive. Most recent experience though, not so good. Having to wait two days (and still not get an answer) to see how much a battery replacement would cost and how long it would take to come in was disappointing. I really want to support this local business, but it seems my business is not all that important to them. I called a competitor and in that phone call, got a price, put in an order and my battery will be available for pick-up in 24 hours. Contrary to your response, the model number of the computer was phoned in two hours after my visit to your business.

Honestly, I have been coming to these guys for a few years now! When you walk in to getting your final product. I had a problem with my hard drive, they diagnosed the issue quickly and got it back in my hands in a timely manner. I was expecting my repairs to be expensive but I was shocked how reasonable they were. The last time I was here I tried to install my own cpu .. I failed and Chris stayed an hour past close to help me out and get my sons pc working.

Ok so I'm all for shopping local especially in the current environment. So I took my laptop to a local IT service provider here in Russell Silicone Valley Computers. They said they would install a new SSD (solid state hard drive) as well as update to windows10. I dropped it off on Friday and said I needed it no later than Monday morning. I received a call on Saturday stating that it would be ready by the end of the day. I never received a call on Saturday or on Sunday even after I left several messages. I then got no call this morning, I resorted to trying to work off my phone and an old laptop which was slower than the one I dropped off (if that is even possible). I called them 8 times today and left 6 messages and never got a call back. I finally showed up at the store at 4:30 and knocked on the door, the owner Jim ran into the back of the store, one of his employees greeted me. I explained who I was and he said oh yes your laptop is almost ready, I said and why did nobody respond to any of my messages today, he had no answer. I said when will it be ready he said it should be ready shortly. I finally called back at 6pm and he said it is almost done. I finally picked it up at 6pm tonight. I had a conversation with the owner who only provided excuses on why I wasn't called back after leaving 6 messages. Not one acceptable answer.
All I can say is customer service is number one for any business owner and if you can't even provide that then maybe you are in the wrong career. I will never be back there again and I will make sure anyone who asks me to recommend someone it will not be them.

They quickly resolved my laptop issues on one occasion, and on the second occasion I chose to not pursue a full repair, and they offered to assist me in purchasing a new machine.
They communicated well with me on facebook through both situations.
As someone who gets anxious about my computer and not having it, they made it very easy and took the stress off

WoW! New to Embrun. I was looking for a a specific service and was directed to that business. I attended. They helped me with my issue, they even had to do some trouble shooting for a while, completed my service and when I asked how much it was they said. Oh , we don't charge for that. I'm not even one of theirs regular customers! You can bet they will have my business now when the need is there. Thank you!
