I will leave here the email I sent twice to the store with no reply yet:

Hi there,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address an issue I experienced with a screen replacement for my Samsung S20 FE at the inside North London Walmart Store.
Last Friday, the screen replacement was performed, and the salesperson assured me that it came with a three-month warranty. Additionally, I purchased a screen protector to help avoid future damage. However, I immediately noticed an issue with the fingerprint reader. It was inconsistent in recognizing my fingerprint, sometimes working and sometimes not. The salesperson explained that I might need to press my finger harder due to the screen protector interfering with the sensor.

On Friday and Saturday, the phone worked fine aside from the fingerprint issue. Unfortunately, on Saturday night, the screen began to progressively change colors, with half of it turning white by the evening. While the white section responded to touch, the other half did not.

I attempted to visit the store on Sunday, but despite the website and Google listing indicating it was open until 7 PM, a notice on the door stated that the store is closed on Sundays.

By today, the screen had gone completely black, although the phone still functioned (e.g., notifications and calls were audible). I returned to the store this afternoon, where I was attended by the same salesperson. However, the interaction was disappointing.

The salesperson claimed the screen was damaged due to impact, despite my assurances and visible proof that the screen protector and screen showed no signs of damage. After some back-and-forth discussion, he refused to honor the warranty and suggested I pay an additional $80 for a new screen replacement. This suggestion felt unreasonable given that the installed screen was defective from the beginning.

Ultimately, the salesperson offered to reinstall my original broken screen, which I found odd that the screen was still at the store. Given my need to access my phone and data urgently, I agreed to this solution.

I am reaching out to request a full refund for the defective screen, as it was clearly not fit for purpose.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PHONE HERE. DISHONEST BEHAVIOUR!!!

Yesterday, I sent my 16 year old son in to this location to have a a battery replaced in a ‘new-to-him’ phone. The phone had absolutely no cracks in the screen, as it was mine previously just the day before. The gentleman took the phone out of sight and then returned it to my son, telling him that he likely could not replace the battery as the screen was cracked, and it wasn’t guaranteed to work once it was put back together. When my son returned to the car - the screen had a very large crack in it which originated from the bottom where you would remove the screen and replace a battery. This crack was not there when he entered the store. Quite obviously this person attempted to replace the battery and, in the process, broke the screen and then proceeded to swindle a teenage boy.

My son was obviously upset as he had been taken advantage of by an adult. The man even gave him a ‘free screen protector to cover the crack.’

Stay far away from this place and just use the Apple Store - lesson learned!
