I ordered a variety of Bison meat from Thundering Ground Bison Ranch (roast, burgers, sausages and jerky) and had such a wonderful experience.

I was very intentional about where I was getting my meat from, and wanted to ensure it was from a place where the animals were treated with care and raised truly on the land.

Through my research, I could tell this is exactly what Thundering Ground Bison Ranch cared about. I had never cooked with bison before, and Larissa was fantastic at sharing a few ideas with me as well as explaining/suggesting how much meat to purchase for the size of my family. That was so helpful!

Larissa was so kind, professional, and respectful during all of our interactions, and it was very clear that she is passionate about what she does and proud of the animals she raises. I'm grateful to have a local bison provider nearby (Leduc County, just outside of Devon) and am proud to support local business owners and farm owners when I can.

Thanks to Larissa and her bison that produced this amazing cream,that helped my 3 year old daughter to get rid of her dermatitis that was bugging her every winter months. I have send one sample to my parents in Croatia and they were also amazed with healing power of this cream. This is truly an amazing product.

I must say I'm so glad you registered for the open farm days in Alberta, as that's how we heard about you and your ranch. I wanted to let you know that we are really quite impressed with the bison. Your butcher was fantastic and I loved that everything was vacuum sealed in small packages for us. We were very happy with how you divided the cuts up for us as well. We have had the opportunity to try a few different cuts and we are throughly impressed. Such flavor, richness and so very tender. We really appreciate all the hard work you put into your bison, it really does show in the quality of the meat. Look forward to ordering more next year.

Met a staff member or owner , not sure ,at the strathcona farmers market I bought some burger and got a business card , we usually buy a side of beef every year from a local ranch but decide to possibly order a quarter of bison 2 emails a phone message even drove out to the ranch , oh well will find another rancher who would like our business , sorry
